What we've been up to...
Math: We reviewed place value (ones, tens, hundreds) and value of digits within numbers. Example: 35- The 3's place value is tens, but it's value is 30. We have also been discussing three ways to write a number--standard (the normal, everyday way to write the number), word, and expanded. Example: 152 (standard), 100 + 50 + 2 (expanded), and one hundred fifty-two (word).
Reading: We have practiced using inferences as we read. Inferences are clues in the story that tell us about the character's actions and feelings.
Science: We have discussed the scientific method & practiced it several times.
